Getting Your Young Boys Into Eat Salad

By George Dodson

Back in our childhood days, many if not all were always reminded by parents to eat veggies to stay strong and healthy.

Let's face it, some vegetables just don't taste good. Regarding the taste, this will be up to the person eating the vegetable.

We already know that eating vegetables bring about many benefits. These foods are equipped with all the essential nutrients and vitamins that the body require. You can see a variety of colors, textures and shapes present in vegetables.

Although these vitamins and minerals can be taken from supplements and drinks, it doesn't actually guarantee its effectiveness as that of taking it from eating vegetables. Knowing this, we want our children to eat vegetables. The main question however is how you can go about making your children eat vegetables.

One good idea, is to feed them the vegetables that taste good, and find ways to modify the vegetables they don't seem to like. Sugar can be added to their meal to have a sweeter taste and add squash for the soft and smooth taste. You might saute carrots in butter and other flavors such as garlic and, which modifies the taste and makes them more palatable. Such vegetables as cauliflower and broccoli taste much better when seasoned and covered with various sauces. Saute as well as meals with sauce are the best way to conceal the bitter as well as other unpalatable tastes in vegetables..

Of course, a lot of us will also agree that other fruits taste better as they are or uncooked. There's probably a reason how these vegetables taste how they are. You can actually eat off the vegetable right off from its vine just like the tomato for example. Depending on how they're grown, carrots have a delightful sweet taste when eat raw. However, this is not the case with regards to root crop veggies such as turnips and rutabagas.

Like potatoes and squash, these can be prepared with butter or other seasoning and taste is not bad.

Having to boil a vegetable lessens its nutrient as well as vitamin content and not to mention it degrades the taste. You retain most of the vitamins and minerals in the vegetables themselves, they taste more like their natural state, and are much easier to fix. If you prepare them out then Al Dente, they are firm to the bite and taste more like their natural state.

Compared to all other foods, vegetables remain the best since they posses the most nutrient, mineral and vitamin content. Having to feed your kids with vegetables are actually not that difficult at all if you know how to improvise the taste and cook it that way your kids would love. This way, you know your children are getting their essential vitamins and minerals in a form that nature provides for maximum digestion.
